  • Ardboe Lifeboat Station Open Day / Boat Rally & BBQ

    Fantastic day at the clay pigeon shoot, we had awesome weather, great targets and some great fun at the pool trap, not to mention raising £1000 for Lough Neagh Rescue. Many thanks to all who contributed.

    Lifeboats tasked to reports of two people in the water South of Cranfield. Casualties and a Jet Ski safely recovered and escorted to Cranfield.


  • Call out 490

    At 18.34 hmcg tasked  lifeboat to a motor cruiser with 4 POB stranded in shallow water after hitting rocks in the Kinturk flat area. The life boat sucessfully released the vessel from the rocks, and took it in tow to ballyronan marina, where they were safely returned to shore(4 persons rescued )


  • Call out 489

    19ft Coribee with 2 POB ran aground 1 mile SSW of Ram’s Island. Vessel located, checked for damage, then escorted under her own power to Crumlin Marina.

    HMCG requested launch to North Lough Neagh to a vessel with 6 POB.  Reports were sketchy as they were reportedly stranded on the Toome Bay sand banks, but were in fact picked up by life boat  south west of Skaddy Island,  a very dangerous area.     Lifeboats paged @ 21.50hrs to reports of a yacht in trouble near Ballyronan. Vessel was located then assisted back to harbour


  • Call Out 486

    On way back to base from Antrim Game Fair, Support 1 was hailed by a 17ft Skipper Yacht that had  broken down and was drifting. Crew attached a tow and brought casualty back to Kinnego Marina. There where 2 POB. HMCG informed and info passed.
