Lifeboats tasked by HMCG.  A fisherman had been stranded on Rams Island after his dinghy had broken loose from its tether and drifted away.

As a gesture of good neighbourliness the errant dinghy was located and returned to the fisherman.

Tasked by HMCG at 21.00hrs to s 24ft Sports Cruiser aground on the Skane Flat. There where 4 POB including a child. The Harbour Masters RIB from Kinnego was already in attendance. The tow was taken over and the vessel taken to Kinnego.

One point of note, when the Lifeboat returned to Kinnego it was met by a loud round of applause by quite a number of campers, visitors etc on the quayside. Not something you see everyday, but appreciated by the crew just the same.

@ 12:21 HMCG paged LNR to a 999 incident just off Antrim, a vessel was adrift, sinking and reported to be on fire, there where 5 POB. Two Lifeboats made all speed to Antrim, where casualty vessel was spotted  near rocks  behind the torpedo launch site.  Life boat crew  rescued the casualties on board by carrying them from vessel to shore where they were safe & dry and looked after by HMCG shore team.

Lifeboats managed to recover casualty vessel off the rock s and safely bring it to a mooring at Antrim marina. An onshore wind at the time would probably have destroyed the vessel.

Both KLB & ALB returned to base  14 20 hrs.
