In the early hours of this morning Lifeboats tasked by CGOC Belfast @ 01:53am to attend two vessels ran aground with 4 people onboard in Sandy Bay.

Lifeboats arrived on scene and made contact with the two vessels, crew were faced with difficult conditions with strong winds creating large swells blowing onshore in an area with very little depth,

Both boats where freed from the rocks and able to be maneuvered by the lifeboats and taken to safety in the nearby sand quay,

2 people stayed with their boat while the other 2 people were transferred by lifeboat to the awaiting hands of the Coastguard team in Sandy Bay
