- Lough Neagh Rescue aims to be a first reponse efficient well trained
service to work alongside all services within Northern Ireland to protect
and preserve life on Lough Neagh. The cooperation of the fishing community
and all other bodies having an interest in Lough Neagh have been vital
to the establishment of Lough Neagh Rescue and we know that this cooperation
will continue.
- Lough Neagh Rescues prime responsibility is the preservation of life.
Our present goals are to see the organisation free of the struggle to
maintain funding. We are committed to the initiative to see a Navigation
Authority for Lough Neagh established which will act as a catalyst to
the evolvement of tourism and economic growth. How this is achieved
will depend on the co-operation and interaction of all the partners
who have made the first few steps towards a unified approach to our
common problems. Lough Neagh Rescue is proud to be one of these partners
and we will as an organisation do everything we can to secure our future,
and that of Lough Neagh, as an exceptional natural resource.
