LNR Tasked at @12.10pm
Lifeboats were tasked to a 6m rib with 1 person on board which was in difficulty just off the River Bann (Bannfoot).
The lifeboat proceeded to the area and located the casualty vessel which was anchored close to shore in shallow water.
Due to weather conditions on scene a lee shore rescue was initiated and with the aid of a helpful fisherman (in a row boat) one of our crew along with a tow line was brought to the stricken vessel.
A tow was commenced and the casualty vessel was brought safely to shore at the Bannfoot.
Lifeboat returned to base 2.30pm where all equipment was cleaned and made ready for the next tasking.
