HMGC paged Lough Neagh Rescue @ 18:30 to put all boats on standby as a inbound commercial aircraft on its way from Glasgow to Belfast City Airport was being diverted to Belfast International airport due to an engine fire. All crew and boats where but on immediate standby. Thankfully the aircraft landed safely and all 88 passengers where evacuated from the aircraft with no reported injuries. All lifeboats where stood down at 19:00 hrs.
