At 14:36 HMCG paged Lough Neagh rescue to a broken down 27ft fishing vessel with 3 persons on board. Ardboe lifeboat was tasked and quickly on scene to a vessel adrift 500yds of cardinal no 10 otherwise known as McGarrys boatyard. The crew boarded to secure the casualty vessel and check for any damage. Happy that the boat was stable ALB proceeded with a short tow back to a local fisherman’s quay where the vessel and occupants were safely berthed. Details were taken and advice given. Ardboe & Kinnego lifeboats were stood down and returned to base.
