At 16:25 LNR was tasked by HMCG to a 22 ft vessel that had run aground in the area of Cattle Bottom Island, Antrim Bay Area. Kinnego and Ardboe Lifeboats launched immediately. On arrival Ardboe lifeboat was assisted by the Antrim Crew who obtained the use of Antrim Boat Club’s small RIB. Due to the shallow water at the scene, crew waded waist deep to the casualty vessel and assisted the casualties back to the Kinnego Lifeboat who took the casualties to a waiting ambulance at Antrim Boat Club to be checked over. Both lifeboats returned to station at 18:00.
