Members of Lough Neagh Rescue were paged at 18.36 by HMCG. Members of the public reported sighting a flare along the southern shore of Lough Neagh. Two lifeboats were launched and a shore crew was dispatched to the area. The search was terminated by HMCG at 19.15 as further reported sightings indicated the object moving inland. Information received by HMCG confirmed the sightings as a meteorite.
