For emergencies on Lough Neagh and it’s tributary rivers call 999 and ask for the Coastguard.

Callout 746

Tasked by Belfast Coastguard at 18.44 to a 40 foot cruiser which had run aground near the entrance of the Upper River Bann.
Our lifeboats launched and upon entry to the mouth of the river located the casualty vessel. A lifeboat was able to make their way safely alongside and place a crew member on board. A tow line was rigged and the casualty vessel was safely recovered and brought to the Bannfoot jetty where it was tied alongside with the help of our colleagues from Lough Neagh Coastguard who were on shore to assist.
Lifeboats returned to base where they were cleaned and made ready for the next tasking.
